COVID-19 Primary Series Doses (Ages 6 months - 5 years old)

The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine is authorized for children aged 6 months to 4 years old as a 3 dose primary series. The second dose can be administered 3-8 weeks after the first dose. The third and final dose can be administered 8 weeks after the second dose. There is currently no booster dose available for this group at this time.

The Moderna COVID-19 vaccine is authorized for children aged 6 months to 5 years old as a 2 dose primary series. The second dose can be administered 4-8 weeks after the first dose. There is currently no booster dose for those aged 6 months to 4 years old. Those who are 5 years old and completed their Moderna COVID-19 primary series are eligible for Pfizer-BioNTech's COVID-19 bivalent booster dose at least 2 months after completing their primary series.

You will be required to complete an information form for each child. The 1st dose appointment will be scheduled for the selected time. The 2nd dose appointment will be scheduled by our team 3-8 weeks after today's appointment. The 3rd and final primary dose appointment will be made 8 weeks after your 2nd dose appointment. No additional/booster doses have been approved at this time.

CPS' Mobile Vaccination Clinics by CIMPAR offers the following COVID-19 Primary Vaccine doses: Pfizer-BioNTech (12yo and older) and Janssen/Johnson & Johnson (18yo and older).

The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine is approved for individuals aged 12 years old and older as a 2 dose primary series. The second dose can be administered 3-8 weeks after the first dose. Those who have completed their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series are eligible for either Pfizer-BioNTech's or Moderna's COVID-19 bivalent booster dose at least 2 months after completing their primary series or 2 months after their most recent monovalent (original) booster dose.

The Janssen/Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine is authorized for individuals aged 18 years old and older as a 1 dose primary series. Note: On May 5, 2022 the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has limited the authorized use of the J&J COVID-19 Vaccine to individuals 18 years of age and older for whom other authorized or approved COVID-19 vaccines are not accessible or clinically appropriate, and to individuals 18 years of age and older who elect to receive the J&J COVID-19 Vaccine because they would otherwise not receive a COVID-19 vaccine. This decision is related to the risk of thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS), a syndrome of rare and potentially life-threatening blood clots in combination with low levels of blood platelets with onset of symptoms approximately one to two weeks following administration of the J&J COVID-19 Vaccine.

COVID-19 Bivalent Booster Doses (Ages 5+)

Available at these clinics for patients aged 5 years old and older who have completed their COVID-19 vaccine primary series or received their most recent monovalent (original) booster dose at least 2 months ago.

These updated booster doses contains an equal amount of the original booster dose and the updated BA.4/BA.5 component for those eligible ages 5yo and older. This offers the broadest protection to date against the virus that causes COVID-19 and its numerous variants and sublineages.
